SURVIVORSHIP TRAUMA WORKSHOP:
An Exploration of Recovery Techniques: 2

Saturday February 28
from 10:00 am to 4:00 pm
Family Justice Center
470 27th Street, Oakland, CA.

led by Kel and Mary Ciofolo
$35 – $60
Scholarships and work exchange available

(There is a possibility that Mary Ciofolo won’t be able to come due to family circumstances. If so, Dvora Gordon, the Board Chair of Survivorship, will take her place to lead the workshop)

This workshop will be a follow up to the workshop from Jan 25th. It is NOT necessary to have been at the workshop in January to participate in this workshop.

Survivorship is proud to present a second workshop about psychological trauma and its aftermath. We cordially invite you to join us for a day of survivor solidarity and sharing, as we explore creative coping strategies and recovery techniques.

The workshop will be facilitated by Kel, a survivor of extreme abuse. She has experience facilitating workshops for Marin Abused Women’s Services, Marin Services for Women, the Survivors’ Healing Center in Santa Cruz, and for Survivorship. She also presents for San Francisco Women Against Rape and BAWAR, and is graduate of MAWS’ domestic violence counselor training program.

Mary Ciofalo MFT has been a therapist in San Francisco for over twenty-five years, working with dissociation and multiples a good deal of that time. She is also an artist, focusing on painting and tile mosaics, and has written two books.

“The perpetrator of an atrocity steals many things from the victim: innocence, power, meaning, hope and faith among them. But the giant disconnect the victim experiences is perhaps the most tragic loss of all. Because no one can heal in isolation.”
        – Kel, from “Survivor Solidarity”

Together we can break through these barriers and begin to heal. Come join us!

The workshop will be $60.00 – $35.00 for the day. There are scholarships and work-exchange arrangements available.
