SURVIVORSHIP BENEFIT CONCERT September 7, 2008, starting at 3:00 p.m.
in
Oakland, near Park Boulevard support the work of Survivorship!
Carrie Gerendasy is an outstanding, high-energy folk singer with a superb voice, and a lightning-fast flat picking hand. Powerful and passionate, her songs inspire and her charismatic presence electrifies the room. Out On A Clef – Emily Brooks, Pat Cull, Kris Gannon, Janet Rachel – is a unique acappella quartet – savvy Baby Boomer dykes with attitude. Delighting audiences with sharp political satire, sexual innuendo, and stage antics, they get off on poking fun at convention and definitely at themselves. They pride themselves on being musically tight while de-ranging most of the song lyrics to suit their whims and socially progressive messages. It adds up to a good time for all! Survivorship is an international non-profit organization for survivors of sadistic sexual abuse, ritualistic abuse, mind control and torture. Survivorship has been serving survivors, partners and other allies, therapists, clergy and pro-survivor activists and advocates, for nearly 20 years.
