EVENTS

Conferences, workshops, task groups, peer support groups and – yes – parties all promote healing by bringing survivors together. It’s vital that we come together to share out experiences as children and as brave adults fighting for free, whole lives. We can share information and resources, give each other support, and gain that wonderful feeling of validation that only another survivor can impart.

Survivorship promotes community building in several different ways. We offer workshops every few weeks in Oakland, California. These usually are small groups that focus on healing through art or writing, led by experienced facilitators. We have started a series of Webinars on various aspects of healing that allow people to interact across thousands of miles, bringing contact to people who might otherwise never have the chance to interact with other survivors. And we periodically throw fund-raising parties where we have an opportunity to dance and sing and laugh together.

Finally, we support other groups that are working toward exposing ritual abuse and promoting healing. There is a frequently up-dated Community Calendar of Events on this web site. We co-sponsor the annual S.M.A.R.T. conference, “Ritual Abuse, Secretive Organizations and Mind Control” and arrange for speakers to give trainings to hotlines, child service organizations, and churches.

This page will keep you informed about up-coming workshops and Webinars. Check in often, as there is always something new.

On Sunday, Sept. 26, there will be an outdoor concert featuring seven artists/groups. This concert is a fundraiser for Survivorship and Back Porch Concerts, an agency which books artists into outdoor venues from May to October. They need to raise money for wheelchair accessible port-a-potties (very important for outdoor concerts!) Survivorship is raising money for general funds to pay for printing, mailings, the website, and outreach.

We have an amazing line-up of musicians. We are so grateful to all of them for giving us their time and sharing their talents with us!
